Achievements and acclamation go hand in hand with Whitefield Global School and this time its yet another achievement. A 4-member squadron represented the school in the Tinkering Challenge organised by Science Ashram supported by NIE and came out with flying colours. Tinkering is a hands–on-challenge activity based competition aimed solely to enhance the problem-solving ability in the kids and to provide an ecosystem for innovation. Learning with hands-on aid requires a proper systematic and sequential progression in the testing methods and Tinkering Challenge meets all such needs. The first round of the challenge consisted of a mental ability test and only four among the groups could make to the next level of case study. Where mental ability and case study tests one’s mobile intelligence, presence of mind and observance, the final round tested their practical application and creative abilities. In this round, the children had to build prototypes and 3D models with the help of as many as 1500 materials and simple machineries available at the inventory. A great job has been done by Anurag Kamte and Aditya Kiran of grade 6 and Aishee Tripathi and Saransh Jain of grade 8. All these little innovators were recognized with medals, certificates and cash prizes by the Science Ashram.27710226_1649274718494726_8847912861394872534_o
