Water rocket launch competition organised by ISRO & Japanese Aerospace

Congratulations to Karthik Shankar of grade 9 ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰ for being selected to represent INDIA for the final international water rocket launch competition organised by ISRO & Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†

As a part of an outreach event organized by ISRO, the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), the water rocket launch competition was held on 11th and 12th November .11countries namely Cambodia, Thailand, Japan, Colombia , Bangladesh, Nepal, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines including INDIA which were all Asian and Pacific region countries participated in the finals.

Karthik Shankar of grade 9 has succeeded in both the rounds in prelim selections which consisted of quiz, rocket making and rocket launching amongst 54 schools in Bangalore and was selected to represent INDIA for this final international competition. They had a workshop on how to make the rocket by ISRO scientist MR. Guru Prasad.

It was a wonderful experience for the students as they have met ISRO chairman Mr.A.S.Kiran kumar, IIRS director Dr.Senthil Kumar and learnt practically.They also got a chance to know about space education in different countries.
