Olympics, the biggest sporting event on Earth, is a different spectacle, after all, when played with the budding sportsperson of future. Though not inter-country yet inter-school sporting events carry equal grandeur as schools to children are more than homes to children. Several schools of Bengaluru met at the XLR8 Indoor Sports Arena for the Inter-school Olympics Competition. Whitefield Global School, known for its commendable achievement in sports, put up a spectacular performance bagging 9 medals to its name. While the girls’ teams turned out to be winners and runners-up in football and throwball, the boys achieved similar kind of success in volleyball and tug-o-war.
