“Children are not things to be moulded but are people to be unfolded.”
Whitefield Global School has always believed in this and to encourage each child’s participation, we planned for our Class Magazine -2. Making a magazine is like taking some ‘time out' from regular classes and doing something completely different that can really help group dynamics and may also give quieter students a
chance to express themselves and shine. It is a project that appeals to students as it allows individuals to work on what interests them. Our young thinkers were given this opportunity of showcasing their creative thinking and writing skills in the area which interests them like poems, stories, riddles, articles, drawings and sketches on the topic “Celebrations – Reflection of Values.” Our young authors and artists of grades 3-5 left no stone unturned. They beautifully connected various
festivals and celebrations to the values they teach us in life. Their work brought forward the true essence of these celebrations. The magazines were adjudged on various rubrics like the presentation of cover page, compilation of the matter of fact, editor’s note, etc. The magazines and the passion of our learners gave our evaluator, Mrs. Nina Mukhopadhyay, the Head Mistress of the Primary Wing a tough time in deciding the winner of the competition.
