Diyas are a way of telling us that there will always be a light to drive away the darkness. The festival of Diwali is an occasion to celebrate the victory of good over evil, awareness over ignorance. It is an occasion to celebrate life. Students of Upper Primary Segment of Whitefield Global School celebrated the festival virtually by presenting a morning assembly on November 19th. The host for the assembly was Pranav of Grade 5. The event commenced with the melodious singing of the morning school prayer. G. Anisha of Grade 3 delivered the thought for the Day. Bhavin of Grade 4 compared the Diwali celebrations from previous years to this year and spoke about how we celebrate our festivals has changed this time. Avyukta of grade 5 recited a beautiful poem. Mahalaxmi, Arjun, and Lekhana of Grade 4 did a sweet rendering of a Diwali song. Upper Primary Coordinator Ms. Asha Kiran conveyed to children the importance of Humility and light the lamp of love, gratitude, empathy, and kindness. We should restore peace between nature and us humans by using all the resources properly. So here’s wishing laughter and fun to all for this festive season.
