"Goodness is stronger than evil; love is stronger than hate; light is stronger than darkness; life is stronger than death." - Desmond Tutu
In a vibrant celebration of unity and the triumph of good over evil, primary students of Topaz House held a special assembly. The occasion was Navratri, a festival of nine nights that epitomizes the victory of divine energy, celebrated through dance, music, and devotion. On the tenth day, Dussehra, we celebrate the conquest of good over evil, exemplified by Lord Rama's vanquishing of the demon king Ravana.
Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, symbolizes the victory of good values over negative influences, as illustrated by the ten-armed Goddess Durga. Our young students beautifully presented the significance of the festival and displayed the nine forms of Goddess Durga in a classical rendition.
This special assembly reminded us that the light within us can conquer life's darkness. May Dussehra inspire us to face challenges with courage and always choose the path of righteousness. In the words of Desmond Tutu, goodness, love, light, and life shine brighter than their counterparts.
