Whitefield Global School recently conducted an insightful Expert Talk on November 21 as part of our School Health and Wellness Program, centred around the theme of 'Growing Up Healthy.' Focused on the crucial stage of adolescence, the talk aimed to shed light on the transformative changes that occur during this phase, demanding careful attention and guidance.
Ms Tanya Kushwaha, a Child Well-being expert from Right Side Story & Whisper India, conducted an enlightening session for students in Grades V to VIII. Her talk covered crucial topics like menstrual hygiene and the significance of self-love. The session ended with the distribution of pads to further support our girls.
Simultaneously, boys in Grades V to VIII engaged in an interactive session led by Dr. Namratha Upadhya, an Endocrinologist from Aster Whitefield Hospital. The aim was to help boys understand the changes and challenges of adolescence, providing insights and support for this significant life phase. Both sessions emphasised the importance of open communication and a supportive community during this transitional phase.
