Whitefield Global School known for its innovative ideas, where all the students of Grade III-IV-V had an opportunity to learn and explore themselves in the Intra-house Mime competition. We conducted a CCA Inter-House Mime Competition on 10th July, 2018 at different venues in the school premises, on the themes’Navras’ for Grade 3, ‘Popular use of mobile phones’ for Grade 4 and ‘On a school day’ for Grade 5.
Mime is an art of portraying a character, mood, idea or narration by gestures and bodily movements.
The competition was judged under the criteria official expressions, acting skills, presentation and the overall effects.
The contestants spellbound and enthralled the audience with their performance that displayed skills beyond their age. In as pan of a few minutes, each contestant captured the entire scenario assigned tohim/her convincingly and professionally. Overall, it was a great show which gave our respective judges Dr. Sanju Mishra, Mrs Chitra Kulkarni, Mrs Gunjanand Mrs Chetna a very tough time on deciding the winners of the show and coming to a conclusion.
Whoever the winner may be, the budding theatre artists of WGS fulfilled their roles to the fullest which makes everyone a winner.
