Poetry as an art provides an adventure for the mind.
Poetry recitations introduce children to new and unknown words. Children whor ecite rhythmic poetry learn and understand the various variables of speech like pitch, voice modulation, intonation, and volume. The child builds phonemic awareness and strengthens the reading abilities. It also develops memorization skills and public speaking skills.
Reciter is like the soul which provided life to the poem.

Whitefield Global School conducted CCA Inter-House Poem reciting competition on June 26, 2018 at the School Auditorium for Std VI to VIII. The competition was judged for clarity,expression, voice modulation and memorization. The participants captivated the audience with their incredible ability of presentation. It was a challenging judgment scenario for the judges Ms. Bibhudutta and Ms. Inna Jafri to decide onthe best presenter. But as the quote goes, ‘winning is not everything, but the process to prepare for the win is vital’.The School also conducted CCA Inter-House Ted Talk competition on the same day for Std IX and X. The competition was judged forcreativity, originality of idea, presentation and strategic thinking. The participants delighted the audience with their charismatic as well as humorous speaking. The judges Ms. Gunjan and Ms. Sakila appreciated the confidence of the participants
