The idiom “All work and no play make Jack a dull boy" holds true even for our young learners. The Sports Days for Grade 1 and Grade 2 were conducted on 16th January, 2020 and 28th January, 2020 respectively. Both the days were filled with fervor, energy and excitement. Amidst the thrills, shrills and cheers, children enjoyed the sports day and longed for more. The main objective of organizing the sports day was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and fondness for sports amongst children. The spirit of friendly competition came alive where the four houses eyed for the first position. The children showcased their skills in a wide range of sports event like 100 metre race, Relay race, Obstacle race and rolling the ball with great zeal and enthusiasm. Children displayed their growing fine and gross motor skills through the sports activities. Children cheered for their housemates and learnt valuable lessons of sportsmanship, team work, collaboration, leadership skills etc. Kudos to all our little ones whose attitude displayed that competition is not only about winning, but about the spirit of learning and competing for fun and enjoyment too. The winners were felicitated with medals and certificates on 6th February,2020 by HM- Primary Ms. Nina Mukhpadhaya, Upper Primary co-ordinator Ms. Ashakiran, Primary co-ordinator Ms. Chitra Kulkarni, Sports mentors Ms. Anitha, Mr. Santhosh, Mr. Athif and Mr. Sathya. A special thanks to all the sports mentors and teachers for their support and co-operation in the smooth functioning of the Sports day of both the grades.
