“Education is the foundation upon which we build our future”.
Traditionally Founder’s Day is the day when all members of the school community meet to commemorate those who have founded the school and to celebrate the achievements of our dear friends. Every year we celebrate the Founder’s day of our school on the second Saturday of June and this year also was no exception.
Whitefield Global School has always excelled in the field of academics with the highest scoring subject toppers and cent percent result and we can proudly say that our alumni are set in prestigious colleges. Our school is known for working towards the holistic development of children and that is why we have also set our feet strongly entrenched in the field of sports and extra-curricular activities. Founder’s Day brings us the opportunity to thank our founders for this marvellous enterprise.
We started the day’s programme with the invocation song to herald the beginning of the Founder’s Day celebrations. Our Dynamic director Dr Sarada Chandrasekaran welcomed the dignitaries and our honorable guests and also extended our heartfelt gratitude through her welcome address.
The graceful students then presented an auspicious invocation dance to proceed with the program.
It was then the moment to appreciate and encourage the budding talents and celebrate achievements of the achievers who have stood out and made us proud. Our Senior Coordinator, MS Sakila Sarvanraja presented the proficiency certificates to the awardees and also congratulated the NTSE toppers of our school. Our alumni Saketh and Vivek were present on that occasion and shared their fond memories of school with all of us.
The chief guest of the occasion, Our chairman, Dr. C Poornachandra Rao who believes in creating opportunities for children to enable them to become better citizens graced the occasion with his presence and also enlightened us with his words of wisdom.
The theme of this year is Mindfulness and self-awareness, both of these are extremely crucial life skills where they teach us to be fully aware about our surrounding and ourselves, our strengths and weaknesses. The students of WGS presented a beautiful programmed on the theme ansd showed us its importance in the current scenario.
To conclude the day’s ceremonial event our Secondary Head Mistress Ms Arpita Tripathi delivered the vote of thanks.
