The spirit of Karnataka was celebrated during the Kannada Rajyotsava held virtually by Grades 3, 4, and 5 of WGS on Nov 4th. The host for the event was Dishan of Grade 5. Events began with Tarang of Grade 4 delivering a beautiful thought for the day. Ishaan of Grade 5 enacted Sangolli Rayanna, the Indian warrior, who fought against the British East India Company. Children’s favorite teacher, Ms. Ramya conveyed the message that Karnataka means belief, strength, faith and how the people of Karnataka have welcomed people from all over the world to their beautiful state. Our beloved Head of the Institution, Dr. Sarada Chandrasekaran narrated a beautiful story of a strong-willed ant that overcame all odds to achieve its goals. She highlighted the importance of collaboration which leads to better learning, thinking, sharing, and receiving. She enjoined all to accept and respect all places and their culture and language.
