“Every child deserves a champion—an adult who will never give up on them.” Inspired by Rita Pierson’s powerful words, our Principal Dr. Sita Shankar recently led a transformative training on Inclusivity in the Classroom. With her empathy-driven leadership, she equipped educators with effective strategies like student voice and choice, collaborative learning, and scaffolding based on the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD). This approach ensures every student receives the support they need to reach their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
The learning momentum continued with Ms. Amrita Paul’s session on Teaching Mathematics with Manipulatives. She demonstrated how tools like number blocks and fraction bars turn abstract math into hands-on, engaging experiences. By fostering real-world connections and deeper understanding, educators are empowered to inspire a love for math in every learner.
