On 17th January, students of GENEX club across grades 3 to 10 embarked on an enchanting journey beyond the classroom walls as they participated in a mesmerising stargazing activity. The event, organised with the aim of fostering curiosity and appreciation for the wonders of the cosmos, provided students with a unique opportunity to connect with the universe and deepen their understanding of astronomy.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, a sense of anticipation filled the air. The chosen location, away from the city lights, offered a perfect canvas for the night sky to unfold its celestial wonders. The team was well equipped with telescopes, binoculars, and under the guidance of astronomy enthusiasts, students eagerly gathered under the vast, star-studded expanse.
The students embarked on a celestial journey, exploring the constellations, planets, and other astronomical phenomena that adorned the night sky. The experts shared insights into the mythology behind the constellations and explained the science behind the twinkling lights overhead. Students were encouraged to ask questions and actively engage in discussions, creating an interactive and enriching learning environment.
The stargazing activity proved to be a resounding success, leaving students with memories of a night filled with wonder, curiosity, and awe. Beyond the academic benefits, the experience ignited a passion for exploration and a deeper appreciation for the mysteries that lie beyond our planet.
