Storytelling can be fun and a creative way to play, which can help to lay the foundation for strong reading and writing skills.
Since time immemorial, puppetry has proven to be a powerful medium of storytelling which not only leaves an impact on the students but also strengthens their language skills. Puppets change the entire classroom by creating more possibilities for creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and curiosity. A good puppet story is the one with multiple strong characters with clear personality traits and a simple yet intriguing plot. A puppet story does not have too many set changes and can be told fairly well through dialogues. The stories in this activity were chosen for the appeal to young readers and the potential to make great puppet shows. Our Intra-house storytelling activity was conducted on 26/6/2018 which gave opportunity to all tiny tots of Grade 1 and 2 of WGS. The best of story tellers were enthralled to put up a mesmerising puppet show on 10th July, 2018. The Inter house story telling with puppet was organised in the auditorium. Each one had a great story to narrate and they displayed beautiful handmade puppets made out of waste. It was a great learning experience for the children and a visual treat to the audience as all the children presented their stories in spectacular ways. A special thanks to our In-house judges (Ms. Bibhu Ma'am and Ms. Laxmi Ma'am) for spending their valuable time with us.
Thanks to all the parents for your support in preparing the children for a great outcome!
