"Freedom is the open window through which pours the sunlight of the human spirit and human dignity." - Herbert Hoover
On the significant occasion of India's 75th Republic Day, Whitefield Global School's middle section splendidly organised a special assembly for the occasion of Republic Day on January 25, 2024. Orchestrated by the English department and middle school students, the event centred on India's freedom struggle, narrating the historical journey from the 1857 Revolt to the Quit India Movement, leading to independence.
The assembly skillfully portrayed India's post-independence achievements through engaging skits, dances, and dance dramas. This creative approach not only depicted historical events but also highlighted the nation's progress over the years, which has helped it develop its own cultural identity on the global stage. The performances, deeply evocative and patriotic, captivated the audience, instilling a profound sense of national pride and appreciation for the sacrifices made for freedom.
Principal Dr. Sita Shankar commended the students and teachers for their exceptional efforts and dedication in presenting an assembly that truly honoured the essence and spirit of India's 75th Republic Day. The assembly reached its pinnacle as it concluded with the soul-stirring rendition of the National Anthem, leaving an indelible mark on all present.
