Whitefield Global School hosted an inspiring Author Interaction with Ms Keerthana Venkatesh for our Grade 5 students, offering them a wonderful opportunity to step into the world of stories, writing and imagination.
An accomplished author, writer, editor, journalist and mentor, Ms Keerthana shared insights from her diverse literary journey—from fiction and poetry to journalism, real-life narratives, leadership and mentoring emerging writers.
The interaction encouraged our young readers to look beyond the pages of a book and understand how observation, curiosity, experiences and human relationships can become the seeds of stories. Students explored what inspires writers, how characters and ideas take shape, and the importance of noticing, questioning, wondering and listening.
The session also highlighted the power of storytelling to help us understand different perspectives and see the world—and ourselves—in new ways.
It was an engaging and enriching literary experience for our young learners, inspiring them to read more, observe more closely and perhaps begin discovering the stories they have within them. ✨📖
