Upper primary students engaged in a stimulating CCA activity—a two-phase poster-making competition conducted on December 6th and 20th, 2024—designed to honour their mother tongue's profound significance in celebrating Matribhasha Diwas. The intra-round, held on December 6th, invited students to create visually compelling posters that captured the cultural and linguistic essence of their native languages, fostering both pride in their heritage and respect for linguistic diversity. In the inter-round, on December 20th, students refined their designs by integrating digital tools, research, and creativity, elevating their artistic expressions to new heights.
This initiative sought to enhance communication skills, as participants succinctly presented their posters within a time frame of one minute. Simultaneously, it deepened their cultural and linguistic awareness, underscoring the critical global need for language preservation. Additionally, students honed their artistic and technological skills by applying design principles and exploring digital tools.
Ultimately, the event instilled a strong sense of pride and honour in their linguistic heritage and reinforced a collective responsibility to preserve these languages for future generations. The winners of the competition are as follows:
