'Exciting Adventures in Learning: July Week 1 and 2 for Grades 1 and 2 at Whitefield Global School'

A Fun-Filled Trip to the Math Lab The month kicked off with an unexpected and thrilling trip to the math lab. Our young mathematicians played with dice, learning numbers through engaging and interactive activities. This hands-on approach made math an exciting adventure rather than just a subject to study. Learning Through Music and Games in Kannada In Kannada class, students sang songs that were not only fun but also educational, helping them understand and recognize ottaksharas, those tricky compound letters. To reinforce this knowledge, they played a game focused on identifying ottaksharas, making the learning process both effective and enjoyable. Exploring Edible Plant Parts Our little explorers delved into the world of plants, discussing which parts are edible. This activity was eye-opening for many, as they discovered the various plant parts we consume in our daily diets. It was a great way to appreciate nature and gain practical knowledge about food sources. Creative Drawing with Numbers To wrap up the week, students participated in a unique activity where they used numbers to draw a cat. This creative exercise combined art with numeracy, resulting in adorable kitty faces and teaching the children how numbers can be fun and artistic.
