'From History to Technology A Multi-Grade Exploration'
In Kannada, students explored the drama "Krishna Sudhama," which taught them about the true essence of friendship. They learned that genuine friendship transcends wealth, social status, and caste, emphasizing the importance of this relationship in everyone’s life. In Science, two activities were conducted. Activity 1, a Flip Classroom presentation, enhanced students' verbal and non-verbal communication skills. They displayed creativity and time management, beautifully explaining concepts with the help of props, followed by a small questionnaire. Activity 2 involved creating a Herbarium, where students identified plant species, their natural habitats, and various characteristics like types of roots, venation, and stem types (woody or green). Grade 7: In Kannada, the lesson "Mailara Mahadeva" encouraged students to collect information and pictures of freedom fighters. This activity helped students recognize and remember the faces and names of those who contributed to India's freedom struggle. Grade 8: Art Integration was applied in the chapter "Niru Kodada Nadinaalli," where students gathered pictures and information about the culture and cuisine of Karnataka and Ladakh. In Computer Science, students learned to draw various shapes and designs using Turtle in Python, understanding its significance in creating visually appealing designs with features like borders, colors, and shapes.
