The Final Book Club activity of the year brought Grade 1 and 2 students together for a quiet yet lively time with stories. After reading, the children responded in their own creative ways—through drawings, role play, and short writing. Some designed colourful postcards of Carl enjoying a peaceful day of rest, while others acted out moments of learning to say “no” politely and setting boundaries. Students also created comic strips showing how Arnold Ant dealt with anger.
The stories gently reflected students’ own thoughts and feelings, sparking small conversations about emotions, choices, and everyday experiences. As they read and responded through drawings, role play, and writing, many moments quietly mirrored their feelings, giving them a chance to pause, look within, and think about emotions they sometimes feel but rarely express. 📚✨
