Excursions offer students an invaluable opportunity to step out of the classroom and explore the world around them, embarking on journeys filled with discovery, exploration, and hands-on learning experiences. These educational outings take students beyond the confines of textbooks, allowing them to witness firsthand the wonders of nature, history, culture, and science. Whether it's a visit to a museum, a trip to a local park, or an exploration of a historical site, excursions provide a rich tapestry of experiences that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and personal growth.
Our students from Grades 3 to 5 had the wonderful opportunity of visiting and participating in the ‘Eagles Unbound—Farm to Fork’ Programme.
They were excited to be a part of the interactive activities, guided tours, and hands-on experiences that actively engaged them and encouraged their participation and curiosity. Vermicomposting, kitchen gardening, serving and feeding domestic animals, tractor rides, sapling planting, and various recreational activities like zipline, mud obstacles, rope walking, rope climbing, pottery, and various other activities kept them on their toes and high in spirits. They explored, experienced, experimented with, and enjoyed each of them and asked questions on topics that piqued their interest.
By providing students with opportunities to explore the world around them, excursions empower them to become informed, engaged, and compassionate global citizens, ready to navigate the complexities of the world with curiosity, empathy, and a thirst for knowledge. The students reluctantly headed home, even as their little hearts kept asking for more.
