In the third week of July, Grade 6 students were immersed in a variety of engaging subject activities that brought learning to life. In the III Language Hindi class, gamification was used to teach counting from 1 to 50, transforming a routine lesson into a fun and interactive experience. Meanwhile, in III Language Kannada, students demonstrated their knowledge of the solar system by identifying planets and creating model pictures. This hands-on activity not only enhanced their memory but also honed their artistic skills. In Science, students participated in an extempore on sorting materials and an image talk activity where they categorized materials into pure substances and mixtures, significantly improving their communication and critical thinking abilities.
Grade 7 students took part in a Socratic seminar on the structure of teeth, which provided a platform for them to deepen their understanding through dialogue and collaboration, sharpening their communication skills in the process. In Grade 8 Science, students explored the topic of coal and petroleum using the Six Thinking Hats technique, which emphasized the importance of conserving fossil fuels. Through this activity, they showcased their ability to analyze challenges and develop creative conservation strategies. Additionally, in III Language Hindi, a case study activity allowed students to apply their language skills and understanding to real-world situations.
