'Third Graders at Whitefield Global School embarked on a vibrant Project-Based Learning (PBL) journey focused on Sustainable Development Goal 15 – Life on Land. Over the course of seven immersive days, students delved deeply into the theme of sustainability, integrating it into every subject to create a holistic learning experience.'

In English, students explored the art of descriptive writing through the "Poet Tree" task, using vivid adjectives to bring local flora to life. Their Mathematical skills were sharpened by analyzing real-world data on deforestation, where they applied multiplication and division to grasp the impact of human activities on ecosystems. The Science lessons saw students taking on the role of eco-detectives, investigating the effects of human activities on biodiversity and creatively presenting their findings through skits and booklets. Social Studies offered a deeper understanding of India's agricultural diversity, underscoring the importance of sustainable farming practices. In Hindi and Kannada, students connected with the cultural significance of local plants, fostering a greater appreciation for the environment. Technology lessons added another dimension, as students created Scratch models to visually represent the impact of human actions on land. This PBL experience was not just about academic growth but also about nurturing values of sustainability, collaboration, and global citizenship, preparing students to be responsible stewards of the earth.
