WGS TED Talks, Intellectual Discourse Among Grade-8

Taking great inspiration from the quote, Whitefield Global School in Whitefield conducted an inter-school TED Talks competition on Thursday, February 29, 2024, on its own campus. The students of Grade 8 from our school participated heavily in this event, along with the students from other different schools.

Mr. Shyam Chandramani, an Economics graduate and director of Solutions, and Ms. Banani Choudhury, an educator, graced this event with their presence as chief guests and judges for the event.

Students talked on various topics, which were evaluated based on different criteria such as theme adherence, content originality, language and presentation style, visual aids, attire and presentation, no commercial or political promotion, respectful conduct, audience engagement, etc.

The first position was bagged by Hanish Reddy of class 8, Sky, Whitefield Global School, and the second position was bagged by Akshara Kashinath Kulkarni from National Public School.

It was a really great and wonderful treat for the eyes to see such young prodigies talking so confidently about topics related to real-life lessons. This kind of exposure to such an event not only sharpens the young minds but also contributes to the overall improvement of the organisation.
